Despite Annual Pay Awards, our pay has struggled to keep up with Cost of Living increases expressed as inflation.

Since 2009, our pay has simply not kept up with rising costs of living. Current (Apr 2025) Inflation is between 3.5%(CPI) and 4.5%(RPI) with CPIH at 4.1%.
Employers CoSLA have offered a pay increase of just 3%.
UNISON's Claim is for a 6.5% increase on all points, with a minimum rate of in line with reaching £15 per hour by 1st Aril 2026.
